I replaced my clutch master cylinder, due to a broke clutch rod.
I did not pull the slave cylinder, so I did not bench bleed it.
After I installed the new master, I have no pedal pressure at all, it goes straight to the floor, and stays there. I bled it for a good 3 hours last night and got a pretty steady stream after tipping the MC forward and re installing then bleeding, but still no pressure.
I let it gravity bleed over night, But I still dont think I will still have pressure, what could this be?
Never replaced one on a Ford. I did a slave on a Nissan before. After we put it on there I had to pump it up for about 45 min. It took so long my left leg gave out and had to start pumping it with my right.
What ever caused the clutch rod to break may have damaged the slave cyl. also. I would park on an incline and pump, walk away, pump, etc. if this doesn't help, you need a slave cyl.
