Well Troy, you can see where ignoring the problem has got MN government. What baffles me is shutting down revenue generating entities like state parks, the MN Zoo and the racetracks at Cantebury and Running Aces.

This is true Jake!
Yeah that happens!
That is true Mike! Yeah just think of all the money lost by shutting down those type of things. Maybe theres a reason but I am for sure no politician and that may be why I can't figure this out. I am just some redneck from Suppertown!! LOL

The problem is a constitutional provision that says the state can't spend any money without an appropriation from the legislature. It's pretty absolute. The judge has already technically violated by allowing "critical" services to continue. Now .. here's a dirty word that people are seeming to forget ... "reason".
It's all about politics on all sides. Everyone has their "story" of the situation.
I'm just sick of hearing about it. I'm glad I'm safe, but feel really bad for all the other state workers that weren't and all the other private business that are affected by this.
Closing the state parks alone costs $1M per week. The economic impact is estimated to be about $12M per week.

Well on another note. We got setup last night with a few issues. I punched a hole in the siding and split my head open on the camper hitch (small cut). The hole is from Mason's bike handle. It was in the back of the truck when I was backing into the spot.
The beer should flow this weekend!!!
