Even though you are not using a booster, do the brakes feel and work better then stock drum? How much pressure does it take to apply the brakes? Is it more or less then the stock ones? Does the bracket mount on the existing one for the stock mc or does it come out easly and the new bracket mounts directly to the frame?
I didn't do the disc swap just the master (po had the original master on it WITH disc ?!?!). My other cars are 4 wheel drum and the Ford panel seems to have more bite to it with the discs. Also it stops straight, doesn't fade down long big hills and the foot pressure to apply is less then drum. The stock master has the bolts through it into the bracket on the frame and the kit bracket attaches to the stock bracket, unbolt the stock master and bolt on the adapter bracket. You can still check the brake fluid through the stock hole if you get the new master with the bolt cap, not sure about the one with the bail. Also if you get the mustang master you can buy the adapter lines, one end is the correct nut for the master in the other side is the regular nut for 3/16" line (goes into the res valves)........less fittings less chance to leak.
