TRANNY FLUID?
I bought an 89 f150 w/ 302 and 5 spd tranny. The truck "whines" through the gears. What could be the cause of this? Also I was told that some Ford Man.Trans. use ATF fluid?

You're right - that sounds like the front main bearing of the transmission. Which one do you have? The M5OD (normal 1st gear) or the ZF (granny 1st, with OD)? If you don't know, post the TRANS code from the bottom line of the VIN sticker in your door jamb.
