A little history...
Last September, my truck was acting strangely...while driving, the motor would suddenly shut down. Not really stall, but rather, it seemed like a switch was thrown, and the electrical system shut off! I'd pull over, and it restarted right away. (?)
It did this a few times over several days, then one day it just wouldn't start up again.
Long story short...I ultimately had to replace the computer.
Now several months later, it has started that weird stalling thing again.
Has anyone else experienced such behavior?
My truck is a 1988 F150 5.0.
Please help!
Have you pulled the codes? The coil could do that and it's only $30. Might be the ignition switch. You're gonna have to do the work to find out exactly WHAT is shutting it down.
