How to NOT park...

I specifically park in the back of the parking lot. I try to avoid the elderly who need 400' of space to back up and the soccer moms who are in a hurry and don't care who or what they bother... I park at the back, try to park off to the side and I came out of Target to find this heifer parked like this on my truck. Needless to say I was p*ssed. This is the 2nd time I've been rearended like this in the last couple months. I have now purchased a tow hitch with a ball... can't wait for someone to hit me now.

Sucks, but you were over on their side by about 1 foot

Good thing about it is that they are likely to cause more damage to their own vehicle, than to yours. Notice they're rested against your hitch. It's gonna take severe force to damage that steel.

With steel bumpers and a hitch assembly, I'm pretty much a proponent of "bumping is racing", especially when parallel parked and not given enough room.

There were 200, give or take, empty spots around - and with the nose of the truck right at the front of the parking spot, the back always goes over the line - another reason why I park by myself in the back. That's not illegal in private parking lots. I realize she didn't do any damage to my truck - I had white paint chips from her license on my hitch but they rubbed off - it is just rude. Nobody cares about other people's property anymore. They drive around like the world revolves around them. Stupid damn drivers.

Agreed with Chandler, but I know with my truck it doesn't fit lengthwise in the standard mall parking spaces. I also park out of the way or take my wifes smaller SUV. People are just ignorant, even if I park out of the way guaranteed someone will park next to me. There could be 20 spots to choose from too, but Noooo... park up against MY truck why dontcha? Jerks! Did you wait for them and give them "the business?" lol

I would have given them some more "love tapping" on my way out. Crinkle the license plate a little more.

God help the world if I was to ever get a RanchHand/RoadArmor/BuckStop bumper...I'd probably never need to replace brake pads...ever!

It took everything in me not to kick her damn bumper off. I promise, I'm not typically a violent person but I'm incredibly protective of my truck. lol. It is my baby... I finally understand those stupid stickers "If you run your fingers over my truck, I'll run my truck over your fingers"

I know exactly how you feel. I'm not proud to admit this but I have left a nice blob of saliva on the occasional drivers side windshield. Its better than me kicking their door in- see how I justify that? lol but thats also why I keep my trailer hitch in the receiver at all times. People just plain don't care, well alot of them anyways. Funny you took a pic- I have done that also hahaha! Maybe call in an air strike on it- you know someone at the base I assume?

You know...my ball/hitch are in the toolbox. I tow maybe 1 time a year (usually it's used as a tie point for the tow rope ). Maybe it's time to break the ole assembly out and ride around with it on. Hmmmm

I would... now that I know I've caught someone on my @$$ twice... I don't know how many times I've been bumped and didn't know it. Really hopes next time it just rips a hole in someone's hood. So I can sit back and laugh.

When I was a boss and had a company truck a few yrs back, a superintendent I was working for encouraged me to leave my pintle hitch in the receiver. He had been rear-ended several times and had no damage to his truck- the rear-ender didn't fare quite as well So I just carried this practice over to my personal truck.
EDIT: It was by no means a high-speed rear-ending, just stop and go traffic

If I do it, I might have to paint the SOB blaze orange so that I don't remove my shins every time I'm at the back of the truck.

And that's where it should stay. The first time you forget it's there and take a chunk out of your shins on it as you walk around the back of the truck you'll feel differently. Don't sweat idiots like this, if they bend your bumper(unlikely) it wasn't beefy enough anyway. Now if this guy had parked that close to the side of your truck then it's on.. break out the tow chain and haul his POS to the other end of the parking lot.
