Last year I removed the suspension airbags on my 97 F250LD and had a shop install 3/4 ton springs for the truck.
Since the truck sits a little higher than before the suspension warning light stays on. I'd love to get rid of that warning light. Does anyone know if I can clip a wire that is going to that light to make it go away? Does the ECU handle that or is there a seperate controller for the optional suspension airbag system that I can pull out?
If you will look at a Haynes service book on page 12-30 top of page you will see a 5a fuse #2 that powers the line and the 'check suspension' lamp.
The ground for it comes from the rear air suspension module.
The color codes are there for you to try to find and cut open to see if that puts the lamp out.
Lead color code in my book shows it as dark green/light green tracer.
Find that lead at the module and open it.
I don't think any ground is possible from the data link connector.
You can't pull the fuse because it powers other functions in the dash.
Good luck.
