Engine and trans mounting
I am currently building a 1979 short box 4x4 from scratch(it was a total basket case). I'm using a 302, 4 speed T18 borg warner transmission and t case. When I set the power train into the frame the t/case mounts and transmission mount line up but the engine mounts are about an inch from lining up. I'm pretty sure the truck origially had a big block in it. Can anyone tell me if they had different frame pedistals for the engine mounts for a big block compared to a small block engine?Thanks.
