Wink Trans cooler??

I need a larger trans cooler for my late '99 F350.
I really would like to get a 6.0 cooler and install it but finding one at a reasonable price is difficult.
What other coolers do any of you run in addition to the small stock cooler-something of good quality? where did you mount it? got any pictures? Thanks!

I believe a lot of people run a Tru-cool Cooler. Also check out Riffraff Diesel Performance Parts | Diesel Parts Supply | Powerstroke Parts | Ford Diesel Parts | Diesel Truck Parts . I think Clay has some coolers on his site.

Here is a link to a good choice. Mounting is right in front, directly behind the grill. You might try searching around a little bit because I believe I saw some vendors sell them with bracket kits for our trucks. (can't remember where I saw it though....)

I found my 6.0 tranny cooler at the local salvage yard for $50 bucks. A few bent fins was the only damage. Radiator shop cleaned and tested for $40 bucks. Its ready to go in the truck as soon as I get the 6.0 IC back from the rad. shop after cleaning and testing.Got that one from the same yard for $100 bucks. Will be installing both at the same time.
Look around you will find a good deal. I'm sure I can get more as they arrive. I think the other salvage yard here has the 6.0 IC for arround 2 bills If onyone is interested.

This is the one I have also. transmissioncoolers.us: Tru-Cool MAX transmission cooler *No external cold weather thermal bypass
I mounted mine in front of the fan with the supplied brackets.
Not my best work, but it was a last minute install.

I also installed the Hayden 1404 04 1405 something like that (the Largest one) tranny cooler. Mounted right in front of the air conditioner condensor with the supplied hardware. I purchased mine from my local RV shop for $45. Only had mine for a couple of weeks, hope it helps with my hot tranny temps. while pulling my 12k# 5er. up still inclines with low speeds.

Got around to installing it inline yesterday. No towing yet, but my normal drive today registered about 40 degrees cooler on the tranny gauge!

Check out Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market for used 6.0 tranny coolers. I got mine for $100 locally.
