Here is the head. Cleaned, magnafluxed, seats ground, painted. I removed the valves for a forgotton reason. Can have some ground, and would check spring pressures and set spring heights. Head was milled .010.
Then you need the brother to the first head pictured, shown here. It is for the DS. Same treatment, ground seats, surfaced .010, fluxed, cleaned painted. Neither head has been run since serviced. The second head shown here is mounted on a block to help check a new cam. Yes I would install the valves, springs, collars and keepers. Is a stock cam being used?
If your cam is on the mild side the springs are likely VS95. They should be used on this head or any other you get. I could set the installed spring heights on this head to 1.75 in. That gives 95 lb. seat pressure, valve closed, with VS95. Then when it arrives you just change the stock spring to your new springs. You would need to have a valve spring compressor, or know someone who has the tool. Or you can send the springs to me and I will install them here. Exactly what work, if any, has been done to the heads you have on hand?
Edit: Depending upon cam and expected rpms, VS95 springs dont HAVE to be setup for 95 lbs. I chose to put them at 85-90 lbs for my engine. Figured rpms werent going above 5500, cam was a mild Isky, and didnt want any more wear on cam or lifters than needed.
Another edit: With higher than stock spring pressures, hardened exhaust seats should be present. This head does not have hardened exhaust seats.
