I understand how to ohm test an injector but how do I test the pigtail and harness?
Im getting error code for cylinder F (6) for high/low circuit malfunction. Think it may be inthe pigtail or wires going to cylinder 6. I've also heard if you cross things up you can fry PCM.
I think a continuity test from the pigtail to the PCM could be valuable but how/where can I get a schematic to tell me which wires at the PCM?
Thanks in advance,
Jon
Just unplug the injector and plug an noid light into the injector plug.
You can rent an noid light at most auto part stores or you can buy a set.
Just crank the engine and if it flashes the wiring and plug are OK.
You can also use a regular 12 volt bulbe on a socket with 2 wires. I added a male blade end connector to each wire, sized to fit the pigtail. It will show you if there is power pulses to the injector.
