need help identifying a part

Ok I have a 2001 Ford f250 4x4 7.3. Started out my a/c would stop blowing out of my ventsand blow thru defroster when I put truck in 4 wheel drive. Now I have no a/c unless I mess with a round silver part with a ARM, located under glove box next to heater core. What's the name of this part or what's the part number. Any help would ne greatly appreciative.

It may be part of your ESOF system. Not positive, but here's a bump for ya.

Not sure on the silver part, but there is a blend door that directs flow. Can you get anything heat or AC to go anywhere but defrost? When these trucks have a vacuum leak, they default to defrost. Good luck.

If I remember corectly that is usually a vacuum leak at your 4x4 hub actuator.

Does it have a vacuum line coming off the bottom. I just took a look at mine. That might be something associated with actuating the blend door but not sure. Maybe post a pic and someone can help identify it. If you have a vacuum leak it will default to defrost. You might try blocking off the vacuum lines going to the hubs one at a time.

Check that your vac lines are attached at your hubs.
