Do you guys know how hard it is to find a discharge/adapter hose for a freeze 12 can?!?!? I have looked all over town and have not located one. All the big box stores do not carry them. Any ideas?!?! Should I swap to 134?
I am in Alabama. Ok I was told that you do not have to evacuate the old system of R-12 before adding Freeze 12. I was also under the assumption that you do not need adapter valves that are on the vehicle. Is that true?
I can't reply to the questions you've asked, and may have jumped the gun if Freeze 12 is different from R-12...I have the hose and connector to the old R-12 cans and don't need it anymore.

I think you are a little cunfused. You do need the R12 type charging adaptor that was offered to you from 70 Bronco to install freeze 12. If your AC system is just low, you can just add Freeze 12 to top it off. The so called "adaptors" are after market fitting's screw on over top of your original factory ports that allow R134A hoses to connect to your old R12 AC system.
If your refrigerant is totally gone, you have issues that need repaired. Then you might as well convert to 134A.
Rider man is right I'm running freeze 12 in my dent and a few other cars my local Napa was able to order me in a can tap that works with freeze 12 or R134. if you do fill the system you might look into adding some UV dye to help find the leak if you already haven't found it.
Ok so I still have not been able to find a freeze 12 hose and I wanted to get it checked for leaks anyway...SO....I took it to a "reputable" repair shop here in town...They claim to do a lot of A/C repair. I asked the guy just to make sure that they use the correct freon...He said "Naw, we don't use that freeze 12 or r-12 anymore its just to expensive." I said but I can't use 134 without draining the oil and changing all that stuff out..I didn't want to spend that much.. He said "Aw, we do it all the time! We just dump 134 on top of the other.. It don't hurt nuthin!" I asked you dont drain the system first??? Nope! I said thanks but no thanks. Ill see ya later!
