Sorry I am new on here and was told to ask in this forum. Looking at buying an 06' F-250 with 58K on it. I found on Carfax that the bottom end, valve, EGR, etc was changed, but dealer says it doesnt show up on Oasis. Can anyone help me get this report? Truck is at Chevy dealer not Ford.
Welcome to FTE! You need to take the vin to the ford dealership. They will be able to pull it for you. If you are really lucky someone on here maybe able to pull it for you but dont expect it.
I test drove 4 different Ex with the 6.0, and they each drove
totally different.
So, be sure to do a test drive, a car can have a clean oasis/car fax
yet have terrible wander and/or hesitation or bad oil/egr coolers.
An ODBII gauge (scangauge/insight) would let you watch temps,
but it's not likely you'll do a 20 minute highway test drive to be able
to diagnose a bad oil cooler.
They are worth getting, but don't solely use them to make a buy/no buy
decision.
Go down to the Ford dealer and ask them for an oasis. All you need is the vin. If they ask if the truck is yours just say yes, they never asked me for proof. Like stated above the oasis shouldn't make or break your decision but it will definitely help
