I have a 2000 PSD 4x4 and my "Service Engine" light came on. So after charging me $100 to run A diagnostic the dealer told me that I possibly need to replace my Glow Plug Module at a cost of $400. They said this may or may not be the problem but it's a good place to start. I told them I wanted to look into it first. Does anyone know what a Glow Plug Module is? Does $400 sound right to replace one? What if it doesn't work?
A good description of the symptoms that led you to take it to the dealer in the first place would help also. If it was just the engine light and the dealer told you the code(s) that too.
