Interesting, I had a 236 code like mentioned in the TSB, I should check out my map I guess. I just pulled it monday after a weekend trip with the trailer. I'm pretty sure mines black. It seems to run alright and has good power, boost seems ok too. Got me thinking anyway..
Talyn, I have the same part number on the map as you. Have you figured out your smoke problem yet? I am wondering if I should get the correct part number to help with my smokiness.
I have this part #s in my book: MAP Sensor (Ford) F4TZ-9F479-A (94-98; digital) MAP Sensor (black in color) and is F4TF-9S480-AA. Correct MAP Sensor (gray in color) is F4TZ-9F479A - 3 Bar.Motorcraft PN (DY708)<O</O But I had this (pic) which is suppose to be BLACK but is GRAY and now I have the one with the "correct" number and is exactly in color as in the pic but with other number IDK its weird.
