Working with my dad
I just dropped my folks at the airport after a month long stay, sure will miss them, but mostly will miss my "truck buddy". Working with my dad on the old Ford F-3 sure makes things right in this world. We had a blast getting the 239 flathead turning again, then pulled the front clip to get the engine out and into the garage. We cleaned the 50+ years of Kansas farm crud from every nook and cranny and washed her off.....looks pretty good for a couple hours of work. We glass beaded the heads, intake and misc parts, then applied the Duplicolor green engine enamel and boy do they look good! Next up is getting the engine on the stand (any ideas on that?) and dis-assembled to get ready for the machine shop, so I can get it back together and running. The folks will be back the same time next year as my youngest son graduates H.S. and they want to be here for that (dad really want to work on the truck
