anybody shift without clutching?

I do from time to time in my 87 F150 4x2 with the 300 I6 and the 4 speed manual...no grinding involved, just slip it into the next gear...I also sometimes downshift clutchless...just by gently raising the rpms until she slips right in...anyone else?

I do it 95% of the time, I have the ZF-5 speed. It doesn't seem to mind it at all, I've even missed a shift, revved the engine and downshifted to keep the truck rolling so I could hit the right gear.

That is a neat trick, and I've seen guys doing it. But I worry about wearing out the synchros, since most of us can't exactly match the rpms properly, and the electronically controlled engines in most cars today make it that much more difficult to do it.
