blowing fuses
Hello all,
In my fifth wheel on the main fuses panel, I have two 30 amp fuses. Both continue to blow. I see vag refernces to the rectifier, but have not been able to find any shorts or grounds. I do not have a lot of knowledge on trailers, or there wiring. I but this trailer as a salvaged unit. So not much info came with it. Would like all the help I can get. If anyone knows any links to other sites or any good books to get, please tell me.

Possibly. I always start there as the most common route to blown polarity fuses is from the battery side.
The points of consideration are any place the power to the converter on the dc end might be reversed and then the board.
For older model and smaller converter the fuses will be 30 amp, but most of the newer converters now use two 40 amp fuses. The polarity protection fuses are the ones in the converter that do not have visible leads to the them like the appliance fuses do. Really old converters do not have this protection.
