Our trucks do not have a cabin A/C filter?

I have read our trucks do not have any sort of cabin A/C filter at all? I never seen this before. All my other cars and trucks have had cabin A/C filters that I can remember. So what is filtering any sort of dust or dirt from coming threw the vents? how does this work? seems really odd to me...

The 150's have it. Not the SD's. Maybe for MY11 the SD's do?

So can someone explain how we are not getting dust blown into the cabin if we drive on say a dusty road or something like that?

If it's dusty just stay on the inside air setting. Recirculation

Thanks, I am not having a dust issue though. I am just curious how the system works with no filter.

FYI, my A/C is always on recirculate because i have an XLT with manual *****, and when you keep it on "max a/c" it is always in recirculate.
