How do I check to see if I have proper oil pressure?

 

I get 35 at a very hot idle with 10W-30 oil
45-50 is normal for me while running down the road.
Anyhting between 15 at idle and less than 65 cruising should be ok.

If you are still using the idiot light there is a port the oil sender unit screws into and one slightly further forward on the drivers side of the block. You can tap in there and install a mechanical oil pressure gauge.
