It looks like one of the POs must have meddled with some of the vacuum lines. Wehn I bought it the PVS was broken and bypassed so I bought a new PVS and hooked it up the way I thought it might go. Now looking at the vacuum diagram under the hood, it looks nothing like it. Does anyone have a better diagram than the one under the hood? Also, im gonna get a vacuum gauge later. Where should I tie it in?
Has a cat and the plate on door jamb says the truck was ordered in Washington if that makes any difference.
If it's just a standard two-port PVS, then one port (doesn't matter which) goes to ported vacuum, and the other goes to the EGR valve. Ported vacuum is sourced above the throttle plates - what kind of carburetor is this?
A vacuum gauge goes to manifold vacuum - if you have a vacuum tree on your firewall or back of the intake, you can tie off there.
Its the 4 port, plus another 2 port. Forgot to mention: 1979 F150 351m, Motorcraft 2150
(two port is the little teal thing to the left of the distributer under the coil wire)
and heres the diagram which I can hardly make heads or tails of:
