She Stalls
Little problem. My 1995 F-250 (v-8, 351, 5.8l) has been stalling lately. This mostly happens when I put it in reverse, but has happened afew times at a stop light. The truck runs fine while it is moving. I recently put the plow on. Could this extra load on the engine cause it stall? I am on the verge of breaking down and taking it to a shop for the first time, so help before I damage my pride!

If it has an E4OD check the trans fluid level. One of the guys at work had this problem after getting an oil/fluid level change at a quick oil shop. They replaced the tranny filter but didn't put enough fluid back into it. I guess this is a safety feature to keep you from grenading your tranny.

I had a similar problem with my truck. It would die when I put it in gear or when I let off the accelerator to fast while moving slowly. It turned out to be my Idle Air Control.
