My truck has dual alternators, as I discovered yesterday. The other guy who uses the truck said the charge needle started dropping until the light came on, then when it dropped too low then then gauges etc. quit working.
After boosting the truck for about a half-hour, everything seemed to be fine and has given no trouble since. Anyone have any ideas or common issues? I'd hate to replace an alternator if it's still good, but I can't afford to have the truck break down with some random problem.
Thanks for any input!
