Wiper Park Switch

Okay, Ive searched and read many threads, but still have questions about the park switch on the wiper motor. I also went through my Chilton and Motors truck manuals and there was nothing detailing the wiper motor at all. Does anyone have and schematic or break down of the park switch? My 62 has a two speed motor and to shut them off correctly, I have to time the travel to stop them at the bottom of the windshield.

Also, they will stop working all together at times, and I have to turn the switch off and back on to get them working again. A friend had this happen on his 60's Impala and found it was a small coil like wire inside that needed replacing. Anything like that on these? Or anyone know of a fix? The motor works good, so I would be happier if I can fix it without replacing.

And yes, I picked up some Rain X until this is fix....lol

I had the same problem in my 66. On the advice of some other guys here, I bought a motor, and switch out of a 79, along with the delay module. I now have delay wipers, and no one can tell from the switch, or anything else. Fast and easy. Works like a champ.
