rearend swap
my friend has a 94 f150 with the 5.0l 4x4 and recently his rear differential got screwed up. his abs/spedpmeter sensor gear got messed up by a chunk of gear that broke off. it is a 3.55 with limited slip. he bought a rearend from a 89 bronco with 3.55 open, now he just noticed that the yoke on the 89 is where the u-joint connects right to the rearend, and on his 94 it has a little plate the yoke attaches to the rearend. now can he use the rearend out of the 89 or will he need a longer driveshaft? i know their will be a little difference in the length of the driveshaft.
can he just swap the ring gear out of the 89 into the 94 rearend without having to shim axles?
