Afternoon ya'll,
I just replaced my speedo gear on the cable end. With a 17 tooth, used the bronco graveyard calc. But my speedo still doesnt constantly work, it is intermitent. Whats the next step, where should I look for what kind of problem? Thanks ahead of time for the input.

It is likely the cable or the speedometer assy in the dash.
Here's a test but it takes two people... remove your instrument panel and have your passenger observe if the drive cable ever stops spinning. If so, then it's the cable or the tranny... the latter is less likely.
If the cable behaves like it is supposed to, then I wou'd say that the speedo assembly inside the instrument panel is going kaput.
