I have a little issue with the fact that if i drive any faster than 70 it feels like im in a blender. Its not the tirs. Im running 285/75/R16 Mud King Steel Radials on Eagle alloys now. but it also did it with the 305/75R16 goodyear at's. and those wre a pretty lame street tire. I just had the truck looked at by a friend who works for National Tire and Battery. Everything was fine for now, but i will need new caster/camber bushings when i need it alighned next. The vibration is deffinetly comming from the front. The truck will run fast and strong but i and the stuff in the cab can't. The way i drive to and from work if your not going atleast 75 your getting run over. Could it be the front shocks. It has always done this .
You may also just need a front end alignment too. My buddy used to have a '92 Camaro that cruised fine under 60MPH, over that you could make your drinks "shaken, not stired" by just riding in there. Damn thing just needed and alignment.
When it was at NTB my buddy said that it wasn't bad enough to be aligned. He wouldn't wory about it till i got new tires. Some more background on the tires. The Goodyears came off a friends ram and were good enought just to run this summer. Then i put the mud kings back on about a month ago, the came on the truck when i got it. They still got about a 1/4 inch tred left. They are not cupped oranything else.
I just put the mud kings back on 6 weeks ago. they were balanced then. The stearing wheel dosen't shake at all. Hell i can let go of the wheel while the truck is vibrating and it will still track straight and true. does anyone think its the shocks. Its definetly comming from the front of the truck.
I had the same problem with my F150 i thought for sure it was U Joint or something up front, turns out it was actually clutch in the transmission slipping, so i ended up rebuilding it and all was fine.
