Is this the right Duraspark Ignition Module?

I asked one of the workers at the junk yard I was at today and he told me that he had one of the duraspark boxes I was looking for. He sold it to me for $3. Did I get the right thing? I'm kind of worried about the insulation being stripped away from the red wire (last picture)...

Have I gotten the correct part? I read somewhere about testing them, how should I test it?

To my knowledge, the grommet colors (I think there were around 4) weren't anything close to each other; something like blue, orange, X, Y.

Reason I say this is cuz I'm used to a darker blue color but itmight be OK, others will hopefully know for sure.

You can take it to an auto parts store to have it tested.

I know there was blue, green, yellow, and brown. There *could* be more, as I am far from an "expert" by any stretch of the imagination.

Yes, a parts store *should* be able to test it. It's a genuine Ford/Motorcraft part, so it's most likely still good, since the epoxy on the back isn't melted out.
As for the damaged wire insulation, a good taping will cure that. I'd much rather have a junkyard special Ford/Motorcraft DS2 module than a brand new cheapo piece of crap made in china parts store special. I'm sure many others will agree 100% with that thought.......

Maybe some liquid electrical tape under the real tape, it'll be more moisture-resistant.

Awesome guys, thanks. I just wanted to make sure I got the correct piece. I've seen a lot of them that don't even say duraspark on them. Is it correct to say that I'm looking for a two plug, six wire ignition module with a blue connector piece where the wires go into the goop?

Oh, and yes, the blue one should be correct for doing the conversion.
