New front brakes and rotors which brand type?

Braided lines will give you a firmer pedal feel but I have not heard of any actual need to do it like in some vehicles. My 95 Cobra is one such vehicle that actually has known issues with the rubber brake lines melting under heavy braking...
As far as drilled/slotted... you really REALLY have to watch it with drilled rotors as stress cracks will almost always happen around the drilled holes in the rotor. For a street daily driven SUV with no performance mods... you are really better off just getting a quality stock style vented rotor and calling it a day. Like I said, Raybestos, Wagner, Centric... all those are great quality brands.
