upfitter switch panel, console plastic

Does anyone know what the tricks are to pulling out the upfitter switch panel and taking apart the center console pieces?

I have a custom switch panel I made for my 2010 that looks like it will fit in the same place on my 2011. The panel has pressure clips on the top and hooks on the bottom. You have to "tip out" the top of the panel before the hooks on the bottom will release. I can't get my upfitter panel to "tip".

Also, the center console plastic - not just the cup holders and the plate underneath inside the console, but the actual console structure. Does it clip together or is it glued? I don't want to go breaking anything prying it apart. I tried popping off the chrome bezel around the cup holders and it didn't seem to want to budge. I would have put some more pressure on it but I wanted to ask before I broke anything

Can't help you with the center console but have had the bezel around the up fitter out a few times. It will probably be easier to remove the bezel and see how the upfitters are held in. To remove it, you need to remove the power outlet and USB/line holders. There is a small slot underneath each. Insert a flat blade screwdriver and gently push up while pulling out. Don't pry. Underneath each holder is a bolt (7mm I think). Remove those.

Gently grab the woodgrain bezel and push up while pulling out. Just about when you think it will snap in two, it will pop off. There are a number of connectors that will still be attached to the bezel. And of course, each one connects differently. You should be able to get to the upfitters to see how they are attached and also the connectors on them.

There may be a way to just remove the upfitters, so I would wait to see if others have just remove them.

When I took out the coin holder to install the upfitter switches, I only needed to take out the usb panel and with that removed there was enough access to see how the coin holder was held in and then reach behind to get it out. I can't remember anymore the arrangement of clips that were holding it in.

Thanks for the information. I worked on this on my lunch break and I got the main panel off. I popped off the USB/audio in panel first but I couldn't work the upfitter switch panel out so I had to pull the whole assembly off the dash to get the upfitters out.

If anyone has a coin holder from their 2011 they can take a picture of that would be great. My panel I made last year for my 2010 is using the coin holder - I cut the coin holder part out and glued a flat plate inside of it with my switches and connectors on it. The unit from my 2010 doesn't fit precisely in the 2011, it is angled slightly clockwise.
