Well, it seems I got lucky again. I went to a bone yard today and what did I find, a well primed, 1970 Ford F-100 Sport Custom. One more year newer and the truck would have been exactly the same as mine.
I went to find fender, but found fenders, inner fenders, and a hood. I paid $200 for all of it, advise me if I paid too much, they agreed to take them off and just let me come pick 'em up, so that's one iteration of removal I won't have to go through.
Also, if someone is in the St. Louis Metro area, the truck has an excellent bed and cab on it if you need it and surpisingly enough good tires (wheel are just factory though).
I need the windshield now, should have gotten that too (a kid through a rock into mine, dang!). Also, engine guy got the engine all torn down and it is in the hot tank cooking away right now. There is one thing he doesn't know about though, and that's the .090 Holley jet, he was uncertain how to install it in such a small area, so if someone knows, please tell me and I will pass the information along?
Well, that's all for the restoration on my old Ford truck. I might just be ready for the rendevouz this summer. Keep on truckin' guys. Thanks, Doc.
Trouble, there is a white 64, 65, 66, something like that in the same yard. I do like that body style but don't have one. What are you looking for on it, I will look when I go tomorrow? Doc.
