I went and looked at a new truck yesterday. 2001 F350 XL Crew cab with the 7.3 4x2. Let me start off by saying this is not my first diesel so im firmillar with their mantance but ths would be my first powerstroke. It has a flashing overdrive light and am gonna have somebody scan it tonight to figure that out. But what kind of lifespan do these motors get out of injectors and glow plugs? From what ive herd I can do the entire set for my IDI for less than the price of one for the PS. It is not currently chipped or tuned I do a lot of towing but hardly ever over 5000# so would i really need to purcase some sort of tuner? If so which one would best fit my needs? Thanks for any hep and advice.
