Coolant leak

I just got my truck back from the shop got a new oil cooler and the bulletproof diesel egr cooler also changed the coolant to fleetguard elc coolant I noticec a small puddle underneath it looks like I got a coolant leak its dripping off the starter any ideas

Maybe they didn't get the hose sealed between the oil cooler and EGR cooler. Or some where up by the heater? They can tend to leak in that area.

Maybe just condensation from the AC? Just thinking here.

I thought the same thing about the ac but its def coolant

Check the oil cooler to egr cooler hose.

See the little blue hose? That is the oil cooler to EGR cooler hose. Sits just behind CAC tube.. Look down in there with a bright light.

Thanks.

I would be interested to see if they replaced the hose with an OEM or an after market one with hose clamps. I don't know enough about the new cooler and their system for the change.

It should be OEM, I have seen some systems that do use them.

I checked it they dont look like hose clamps they look like they are crimped on there and dont seem to be leaking also under it and in that valley is completely dry

sounds like you have the updated oem egr cooler hose with the crimp blue dont take it off right and it locks on harder dont ask

have you looked at the coolant heater where the element goes and passenger side block drain plug tight?????

heater lines???

my coolant filter is on that side too check your fittings

its raining here will do some more investigating tomarrow the mechanic that did the work was a ford mechanic for 30 + years he is an oem stickler except for the bpd egr cooler

BPD EGR cooler still basically OEM on the outside connection wise and uses the factory hose unless you put on the whole BPD system? Not much to leak on the passenger side-heater hoses and heater valve if it's a crewcab or block drain plug. Harder things are freeze plugs and block heater back in the starter area.

No not the whole system put oem oil cooler
