NEED HELP IDENTIFYING!!

I've got a 2001 Expedition 4wd V8 5.4L. I've found a coolant leak on the same assembly that the thermostat is in. But the leak is on the opposite side just below, what I think is the heater hose. Looks like may be a bad gasket but what is this area called. Again it is on the opposite side from the thermostat, whatever that assembly'scalled the alternator mounts to it as well. is it a gasket or O-ring? Please help!!

Are you talking about the upper intake manifold?

Yup that would be it. Does that front section remove from the rest? The leak is on the left side where that hose connection is. Is there a gasket or O ring under there?

I don't think the front comes off, but i could be wrong. I believe there are about a dozen seperate gaskets that go under the intake

Yeah I was wondering because the leak is coming from between where that piece sits on top of the manifold right below the heater hose.. hhhmmmm Looks like there's guide pins and a couple bolts.
