Ford oil cooler kit

i do not believe the kit comes with those gaskets. some say they are reusable and some say not. i would get a new set to be safe, and there is a turbo hardware kit you can get. it comes with new bolts to attach turbo to pedistle and the o rings and one flat gasket for oil line on top.

It's ugly. I've got a 30+ degree spread. I don't know how long it's been like this. I imagine since I bought the truck last October. The EGR cooler has been deleted but the valve is still in place and plugged in. I imagine this was to eliminate any trouble codes.
I've also been monitoring my FICM voltage and it jumps all over thre map from 23v to 48v.
I'd like to say that that SGII was well worth the $150, but at the same time I think it's giving me chest pains.

sorrey about the chest pain but better to find out like this then the alternative
I just did my oil cooler and with the help from everyone it wasnt to bad it is alot of work though lots have done it and helped walk me through it
are you going to do the work??
double check the FICM mp x-gauge code maybe you did IDK but at 23 volt it shouldnt even be running
the egr valve needs to be plugged in for fan operation

What's "mp" and "IDK". I'm sure it's right. I can feel a significant difference in throttle responce between 23v and 48v. It's usually at 35v cold when I start in the morning and it shows all the usual symptoms, rough running, white smoke, the whole nine yards. Yeh, I'll probably do the oil cooler myself. I want to get it done in one weekend so I want to make sure I have everything I need. I hate it when I get half way through a job just to find that I have to put it on hold to order more parts. Still studying.
The Ford dealer in this town sucks. The guys in the service dept. are arrogant ******. I took my truck in for an oil and fuel filter change. They over filled the oil and pinched the o-ring in the upper fuel filter causing a bad diesel leak. I ask about an oil cooler kit and they act like they've never done one before but would be more than happy to do it at $90/hr.

I'm sure I've got the ficm main power 48v. I'll be calling partsguyed this week. I hear that the rebuilt ficm's are better than the new ones because the flaw has been fixed whereas the new ones still have the flaw.
This would also be a good time to upgrade the turbo oil drain tube? Do I dare touch the ICP sensor if it's not giving me any trouble anyway?

I didnt mess with my IPR but some do change the screen on it
keep it clean trash in oil messes the ipr up [ lint from rags]
make shure the ficm harness is fully plugged in to ficm at all three terminals and the ficm ground is bolted on at back intake manafold bolt
things may have gotten lose from egr deleate
does ficm volt jump fast

It sometimes jumps fast but usually creeps up and down. I'm starting to notice patterns such as when the engine is fully warmed up (180+) and I stop at a stop light, the volts might creep up slowly from 35ish to about 45ish then when I accelerate it'll slowly creep back downward. The lowest voltages happen in the early morning when the truck it totally cooled. When cruising it'll vary all over the place usually slow but sometimes fast.
I'll check those connector and the ground wire. Wouls be nice if it were that simple.
