Need help: Where does it go?

on a 2003. Had my engine out to do some repairs. Got it back in and almost every thing just eventually fell into place but there are two thing I havent figured out where they go yet. One is a metal insulator about 3" wide and maybe 12" long. I know the curved one goes around the turbo to insulate it. But I cant figure where the other one goes. Lookes like it should be mounted to protect the wireing or something. The other thing on the left bank, I came up with a extra wire, about 20" long. Flat plug, two wire. I kept thinking when hooking other wires up that it went to the overflow bottle, (low fluid, but doesnt have one) I cant figure out where it goes. Any one have a diagram or pictures. The air filter plug, map sensor, sensor on thermostat housing, FICM, all are pluged in. I just cant seem to find where it goes, must be overlooking something. If I knew some one who had a 03< I would just raise the hood and look, but I dont. Any help appreciated.

The IPR valve gets an insulated wrap. Pics would help.

No its not the IPR valve connection , and the harness to the IPR valve is flexable insulated. Sorry I dont have any pictures. This is a metal plate like the curved one around the turbo, but flat, is there a site that would show all the elec. engine components. The length of the wire is in a single loom about 20" long, like it should reach some where on left fender well, if I cant figure it out might have to have some one post a picture for me.

Ok. I finally figured out where the bracket goes. It goes on the right side under the turbo, mounted on intake. Now the wire. There is a horse shoe bracket mounted on the thermostat with a sensor. The wire that goes to this sensor is about 6 or 8" long. The other wire that I am inquireing about comes off that same loom. No other wires come out of at this part of the loom. It is about 2ft long. Long enough to reach fender well. Cant firure where it goes.

Thanks alot. I think I just figured it out. I think it is the camshaft sensor mounted on block just behind water inlet housing. I'll check tomorrow.
