here are my other rides, the red truck is a 93 lighting. I took my drivers license test in it a long time ago. The kingair isn't mine but I am in it a lot fixing or going places.
I drive a POS. Would never pass an emissions test, 2 tires that are so bald that I skid going around corners (80,000 miles plus on them), speedo doesn't work, burns oil, rear end howls like mad at 55-70 mph, has a different color hood and right front fender, bumper covers all cracked and half falling off, enough rust to even make the F1 look good, and no working AC or cruise control. Yep, a real gem. But it's all I have that runs, and so I put about 100 miles on it every weekday. And now it needs new rotors and pads. So what am I to do, but drive it until I crash. Can't afford a car payment. The dilemma is I either sell all of my projects and get 1 decent vehicle, or I hope like Hell that this thing lasts until I get one of them done.
What I envisioned a short few years ago has been interrupted by quite a few things that I never saw coming. That being said, it is what it is.
I still deal with HOA for my condo in Oxnard.. similar deal, 2 car garage, no driveway, and you have to compete for parking in the street. Back then, still had both my primary projects... Camaro and 57 Chevy, taking up the two garage stalls.
I hear your pain... HOA's are good and bad... I have the HOA, 2 car garage Full of stuff 3 10x20 Uhaul storage units, and I still have crap at my mom's (daughter's Tahoe since her accident and I can get a new rear end for it), my Blazer, truck bed trailer and other parts. And I still have more crap at the cabin. But the my house looks really nice and so do most of our neighbors!

Ya know, as much as I HATED dealing with the HOA in my condo.. (bunch of over-the-top-****-*******s) I almost miss it at times here at home. A couple of my neighbors have nice houses. A few others have run-down shanties.
But, then I remind myself that I'd be violating the heck out of all kinds of rules with my old trucks sitting on the side and backyard... lol.
With the economy the way it is... I may not be able to hang onto the condo's mortgage... so that HOA concern may not be a problem in a year or three!
YEP, converted it to right hand drive just so its a little easier to drive on our roads, and easier for my wife too, That pic was taken not long before it hit the road, hence the somewhat unfinished odds and ends,
And just amazed how people seem to love the.....patina John

Yeah, Havi, but yours has gotta be a KOOL pos! Hang in there man...slim
My daily driver is a 89 Ford Taurus that I would put up against Havi for bigger POS. Never know when turn signals are going to work, and when I hand signal people wave at me. Go figure. My good car is a 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis LSE. Almost better than, never mind!
yeah, life certainly gets in the way. I've got not 1 POS, but I've got a lot of old POS's taking up yard-space. Last year I tried to get rid of some of the stuff, and that didn't pan out as well as I had hoped. Heck this year, I've managed to go backwards with another rusty hull. My problem is I enjoy all things automotive, and so I'm not stuck on just one aspect of it, such as old Ford pickups. Nope, I've got a wide range, and my eagerness to enjoy them all takes over my real problem, an empty wallet. So I've been looking at everything lately, and am working on a cure. I know quite well, it is a sickness as Bob points out, and the addiction is always followed by remorse, such as the Pontiac I recently bought. That money should have gone towards the soda blaster I was looking at getting from Eastwood. Anyway, I don't mean to dirty up this thread, but I just wanted to say I recognize the problem. The other night before I posted that last one, I was looking everything over, after a coworker said I should sell them all and buy one project you truly want, and I was like, "I can't afford to buy 2 tires for my Jeep, let alone fix all of these rides up." So it's frustrating, no doubt. I'll be stepping back as a result, so I can find an answer without any outside influences. Lord knows, you are all enablers, lol.
