No start issue: battery???

Good evening ... I'm just having too much fun. '06 6.0L F350 Lariat.

I intalled my SGII today fussed for several hours over up loading the x-gauges data, but got it done. tried to start the truck and after a couple of turn overs, I just got clicks. first thought is the battery.

Tried to jump start it with the car, good luck with that. Pulled the driver side ground like one of the post recommeded. check the voltage: Drive side= 12.2V pass side = 12.0V. Low but still should start right?

The batrtery checked out OK (from the dealer) before I bought it a month or so ago. I doubt that the install of the SGII did it.

I had another issue prior that is why I got the SGII. "Idle but won't accellarate"

So any suggestion on what to check next or do next??? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
TC

Think I figured out what happen:
In the tech guide there is a thread by Mark on battery disconnect--He noted at the end that keeping the keey on for several hours could drain the battery and then it should be charged via a charger. guess what I did left the key on door open with the radio on plus I think my light turned on....pulling the batteries now....I hope that will fix my oops. Thanks Mark for positing the info to the tech guides.

lesson learned

A healthy battery after sitting all night should be at least 12.5 volts. Mine read out at 12.7. They are two year old Duralasts.

Whew... that is great info 69cj. I trickled charged the batteries after charging they read 13.5. however this morning when I was getting ready to put them in they read 12.9 and 12.7. I thought they did not hold a charge and I needed to get new batteries this AM....

they are the orginal batteries I think (BXT 65-750) so 5 yrs old they may need to be replace some time soon but not today...

Thanks
TC
