Muffler Dead.....I think
OK, I am currently moving across country from VA to AK. Whilst enroute there is a strange tinny sound coming from the rear of the vehicle during low RPM's. In high RPM in disappears. Finally the sound was getting progressively worse by the time I am in Wall South Dakota it was starting to sound like the little japanese cars with the coffee can exhaust. I placed a call to Midas in Rapid City SD. The folks there tell me the exhaust is a special order item from Ford and the Ford folks in Rapid City said it would take 2 days to order.
I thanked them for their time and went on my way, now am I SOL when it comes to getting a stock exhaust for a 2005 F250 w/5.4? Is this just a Ford exclusive part or can any shop order one. I am not looking for anything but stock quiet exhaust. Have enough toys that make the noise......

This is true, the guy at the shop said he could have thrown something underneath for now but the stock F series exhaust is a very robust system and I may need to replace his system in about 18 months. The guy was very honest and could have sold me anything off the shelf.
