Great Idea or No!
I had my 1990 Bronco 302 stroked to a 347 with AOD tran, what in the heck did I just do. My ever trustworthy Mech did not tell me that it would need some serious mods to supply the new engine with gas. Apparently I need to convert this efi to a mass air system which will be about an extra $1000 on top of the $3400 I have already spent. Thats fine but I have not been able to locate the sensor and parts I need. Mass Air can anyone direct me!
You dont need to convert to mass air. you should contact some of the companies that burn chips and have them make one. It will cost a third of what you pay for the mass and and probably run just as good if not better. Then if you make any other mods down the road you just send the chip in and they will make the changes needed. You might want to get an adjustable fuel regulator and maybe even some 24lbs injectors. because even when you go to mass air, you will still need a chip burned to run that 347 properly ask any of the mustang guys they will tell you. sure mass air is more forgiving but not always better . just something to think about .
good luck
Im gonna be building a 331 this summer and keeping my speed density system and just getting a chip burned.
