Vent

This is probably one of the dumber questions on FTE, but I can't find the answer in the manual. What's the easiest way to get plain 'ol outside air thru the vents? Seems as if I touch any button, the AC or heat kicks on. Truck is an '11 Lariat with the automatic temp control.

Push the ac button again to turn off the compressor. Turn the temp **** down to 60.

^^What he said. That's one of my complaints about auto temp control...knowing how to get just the vent. My Fords have been easy. The Honda Accord that I had was a PITA to remember what to do.

That's actually what I've been doing, but I thought there had to be a "better" way. Thanks

one of the reason's that the a/c comes on when you hit any button with defrost on it is because it runs it through the condenser to draw out the humidity/moisture that is fogging up your window. I know in my 2010 the a/c will not come on when just the dash vents are selected, and also when just floor is selected. the same goes for floor/dash vents selection.
