Try doing an Advanced Search of this forum. Use different key words to extract the information you seek. Also, take a look at folks with the same Ranger configuration you have (year, engine, tranny, etc.). I found an FTE member here with a similar configuration and he's helped me with suggestions with upgrades he's performed on his vehicle. With that, I have the short list of upgrades to research/select.
His profile lists it as a 2000 with the auto. I've got a '98' and a '03' both with the auto and 3.73 gears. Both are alright but no power houses. Not sure how much you would gain with the tunner or CAI but usually the cost to benifits is hard to justify.

Don't know what you have now but maybe re-gear the rear? Usually you can pick up a bolt in low mileage 4.10 rear for $250 depending on where you live.
