ok so I got under the truck to find out why the clutch pedal is on the floor . What I found was the arm that comes out of the bell housing there is a small rod that attaches to is broken . Can I buy this arm at a local parts store are is this something I need to fabricate or what?
You can check at your local parts store but most likely they wont have it. Youll probably have to go to a specialty place like lmc truck or mustang village. I k.ow lmc truck you could order it online but im not sure about mustang village.

The arm that comes from the bellhousing is the clutch release lever (aka fork).
The clutch adjustment rod attaches to the clutch equalizer (Z) bar, then its extension (has a pointed end) fits to the lever.
The rod is composed of two separate parts: DOTZ-7521-A rod is 3.29" long. Its extension DOTZ-7A504-A is 2.27" long.
The rod is partially threaded, the extension slides onto the rod (it does not have threads), then is double nutted to retain it. To adjust the clutch, the extension is moved in/out on the rod.
What usually occurs is, the clutch loses adjustment, the extension falls off the rod.
DOTZ-7521-C .. Clutch Adjustment Rod Kit, includes DOTZ-7A504-A extension / Obsolete
Applications: 1965/76 F100/350 I-6 & V8. While obsolete, the kit or the two individual parts can be found NOS. But, you may not need the whole tamale.
