Hey, im a college student and i have an 03 f250 v10 with 74k miles and im getting 8mpg which is not helping. Im ready to move onto something new but anyway im looking to get a new truck after i sell mine but im having a tough time selling my truck and have only been getting offers for around $10,000.
My question is what truck should i look at to get better gas mileage and yet still have a nice truck for the money. i was thinking about getting a 1999-2003 f250 with 7.3l that has mileage around 130k because i want to switch to a diesel but would i get way better mpg with an 04+ f150 that has around 90k miles?
Big determining factor in what you will be able to get for what money is where you are located in the country. When I was recently shopping for my "new to me" Super Duty, I was looking at trucks from Utah to Kansas City, Wyoming to Arizona. With that wide of a search pattern I was seeing price variations anywhere from 1000-5000 bucks.
