Chasing a bug
Hey all, New guy on deck.
I have a question for all of you. I have recently bought a non-running truck pulled the engine and done some R&R. The previous owner must have been the biggest *uh, rigger* on he planet. Anyhow, I get it back together and I am chasing a mystery ground problem. I'm gonna try and do my best to describe it and feel free to chime in.
When the key in turned to the "On" position the #2 IDM relay does a rapid clicking and several of the idiot lights come on, such as the high beam and the ashtray light. If I push in the clutch the lights go out and the relay sing a real high note. AND it won't start!!
Tonight I removed the #2 relay and put a jumper in it's place and the truck started perfect.
Being the GP relay and the #2 IDM is on the same wire, has anyone had non-start because of a GP relay?
