Another Fueling question

I've started to do some fuel work now. So.....In the stock system the fuel lines coming from the bowl to head has a check valve installed. Does that check valve go away or do I still them both? If so, why? For now, I am deleting the bowl, installing a manifold and hitting the four corners. Regulator before the manifold. Using dual SD pumps to feed regulator. Line to manifold and a line returning to tank...Am I correct so far? Line feeding from pumps to reg. is 1/2" inside diameter. Return line is 3/8 and line to manifold is also 3/8. Is this correct so far. If not, let me know...... Tear down starts first thing in the morning.

Yes, I know that I am dead heading. This will be temp. until I can purchase an AirDog 2 system and redo the set up on top using the Strictly Diesel/ITP fuel bowl delete type of set up.

You can eliminate the check valves with no issues. By feeding from the four corners you are still deadheading like you mention, but with the return setup the way you have it you will be fine until the Airdog upgrade. Sure you may notice a little cackle but you have four feeds now instead of two, so that will be better any how.

Tom,

I would regulate the return fuel pressure.

One fuel feed line to each head.

One return line from each head back to the manifold.

Return line from manifold to regulator.

From regulator back to tank.

That would be a "Regulated Return".

JMHO

EDIT: You have my number. Call if you like.

Fuel lines are in from tank to pumps and pumps through regulator to block. Still operating truck with bowl and single pump. Have to keep it operational for work. The regulator is set into place, built the bracket today, attached to spyder. Thinking of two different routes for the return line. Next to the fuel line or through the valley. I'm liking next to main line....like what is in the second pic. Just need to pick up a different fitting. Lines are not attached to the fuel block or heads yet. Maybe this weekend...maybe. Still need to drop tank for the bigger pick up tube.
