Hmmmm, my '83 F-250 has trans. code K. According to the "Transmission Spotters Guide" on the home page of this site says the C6 was made from '66 to '79. It also says the shift pattern is P-R-N-D-1-2. Mine is P-R-N-D-2-1. Can anyone explain this?
The "...D-1-2" looks like a typo - I've never seen an auto that shifts to 1 before 2. The C-6 was used as late as the early 90s according to Haynes, Ford, & several other sources. Look here and here for more info.
