gauges!

finished my pyro/trans install last night only to not have the needle move on the pyro and for the steering shaft to wrap around the trans sending wire and rip it in half.....

so i have one none registering gauge and one gauge that blinks at me......

FAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Depending on the gauge the red needs constant power. No switched

yea i screwed that up lol, i followed the online directions not the glow-shift.....oops! didnt even see the directions in the box haha!!

well ill fix it next week sometime!

all i can say it take your time, when i bought my truck it also has glow shifts, the kid did a HORRENDOUS job installing them because there was a TON of wire everywhere and sticking out of places i didnt know existed... i took the time one day and cut out like 10' of wire no joke. looks much better. if you need any help let me know, i have the same if not similar guages, 7 series. egt boost fuel pressure. but there all essentially hooked up the same

Gauge Installations at DieselManor- 1999-2003 7.3L Powerstroke

I used this write-up when I did mine... not 100% but very good pics and instructions. Helped me... hardest part I had was finding the switched wire and the dimmer wire. I think I'm going to (eventually) install a manual dimmer, anyway.

well they all work!!

trans maxed out at about 190 degrees after a hours worth of loaded driving, exhaust never went above 800.....

my buddys rarley goes about 160, might want to consider a bigger cooler to keep some life in that thing.

the cooler already takes up half the space behind the grille anyways....

the trans is on its way out already too, so ill wait a lil until fixing it
