front axle ?
I know that my 2001 f-350 4x4 CC v-10 with 33,000mi has a dana 50 front monobeam axle.I have had tons of problems with it.Axle seals leaking 3 times.Hubs wont unlock or lock automaticly 5 times.Calipers ratteling.Im still under warranty and i want ford to put in a whole new axle.
I thought i heard that in the newer superdutys that they went back to the dana 60.If this is true thats what i want.My old 94 truck had a 60 and never a problem over 300,000mi.

Ford went with the Dana 60 on all SD's in 2002.
As for getting Ford to replace your axle with a whole new Dana 60 axle under warranty, well, never say never, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I have had real good luck with my dealer.I already talked to them about a new axle and they said that is what they could do.
The truck goes in tomorrow(hubs wont unlock again).I will keep you posted
